I am mainly here to identify solutions for sourcing, logistics and products. I am also looking for technologies to optimise stock management and improve product traceability, which is a new requirement for increasingly informed and demanding consumers.

What do you see as the latest trends in the Algerian agri-food market?

I am seeing several major changes. Consumers are increasingly looking for local and authentic products, which is opening up new opportunities for Algerian producers, with a strong demand for regional products that meet the demand for transparency and traceability. The trend towards healthier or organic products is also growing strongly, not only in fruit and vegetables but also in processed products. Finally, the adoption of technology in inventory management and distribution is expanding rapidly, enabling better forecasting of needs.
