As a professional in the sector, what does the Djazagro trade show bring you?

It's a trade show that saves time: a year's work can be done in a few days! For us, there are many advantages. First of all, there's the improvement in equipment and productivity, with the exhibition of the latest innovations in automation, packaging and wrapping. Then there is the opportunity to discover sustainable and cost-optimising solutions through processes that reduce water or energy consumption. Djazagro is also a strategic moment for our technological and competitive intelligence, through the observation of market trends and participation in conferences and workshops. And it is also a trade show that allows us to develop partnership and networking opportunities.

Through our repeated visits over the years – nearly a decade now – we have always seen real added value. The fact that potential suppliers and partners from all backgrounds are gathered in one place facilitates targeted and effective prospecting. It also enables us to respond to specific issues we face on a daily basis and to plan innovative solutions for the development of our company. The trade show is therefore a way to strengthen our quality management system, particularly around ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 standards, thanks to the discovery of effective traceability and control solutions.

What types of products are you looking for at the trade show this year?

As every year, our visit to the trade show is focused on the principle of improvement, innovation and optimisation. We are mainly looking for packaging solutions (machines, packaging or even software) that could be of interest to our mineral water bottling business, as well as logistics, warehousing and transport solutions to improve our services to our partners.

We favour the direct integration of these technologies into our value chains, but we also remain very attentive to opportunities for partnerships with suppliers who meet our requirements. Our objective is twofold: to optimise our processes and enrich our ecosystem of reliable suppliers.

In your opinion, what are the latest trends in the Algerian agri-food market?

It is a market that is rapidly evolving towards greater availability and higher quality. Every day, new products are appearing in stores, and this competition is improving product quality and even prices. We are also seeing more and more products tailored to specific consumer segments: lactose-free, gluten-free, high-protein, etc. This dynamic is also part of a national strategy that encourages local initiatives and reduces imports. This government support is opening up new opportunities for Algerian producers and promoting the emergence of a more diverse, competitive and innovative local offering.
