Djazagro: Empowering talent through training and innovation  

Since 2025, Djazagro has launched the Education Area, a unique forum for exchange between students, professionals and experts. Its objective is to support young people, professionals and businesses in developing their skills and innovation.

For the 2026 edition, the Education Area welcomed six educational and continuing education institutions.

Ecole Nationale Supérieure Vétérinaire (ENSV)

The National Veterinary School of Algiers is a public higher education institution under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The ENSV was created by Presidential Decree No. 65-69 of 11 March 1965 and founded in 1970. It was promoted to the rank of grande école in 2008 (Executive Decree No. 08-214 of 14 July 2008).

Ecole Supérieure des Sciences de l’Aliment et des Industries Agroalimentaires (ESSAIA)

The Higher School of Food Science and Agri-Food Industries (ESSAIA) was created by Executive Decree No. 17-81 of 18 Joumada El Oula 1438, corresponding to 15 February 2017, concerning the transformation of the Preparatory School of Natural and Life Sciences in Algiers into the Higher School of Food Science and Agri-Food Industries. Born out of a desire to create a prestigious school specialising in food science and agri-food industries in the heart of Mitidja, ESSAIA is unique in Algeria in terms of the subjects it covers and the expertise it brings together in the fields of food and agri-food industries.

Institution de la Nutrition, de l’Alimentation et des Technologies Agro-Alimentaires (INATAA)

Founded in 1981, the Institute of Nutrition, Food and Agri-Food Technologies (INATAA) is an educational and research entity of Constantine 1 Frères Mentouri University. INATAA currently offers bachelor's and master's degrees in food sciences (technologies, biotechnology, quality control and management, nutrition). Around a thousand students are enrolled in eight different courses within the Food Technology, Biotechnology and Nutrition departments. Research activities and doctoral programmes are carried out in four laboratories covering different fields of food science (LNTA, BIOQUAL, GENIAAL, SAVIFIA).
USTHB LSGPI

Laboratoire des Sciences du Génie des Procédés industriels (LSGPI) et Université des Sciences et de la Technologie Houari Boumediene (USTHB)

The Houari Boumediene University of Science and Technology (USTHB) was founded in 1974.

The Laboratory of Industrial Process Engineering Sciences (LSGPI) is located at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Process Engineering (FGMGP)-USTHB. The LSGPI laboratory was created on 25 July 2000 and is currently headed by Professor AKRETCHE Soraya. Its research focuses on exploring and developing innovative solutions for industry and the environment. In this context, the laboratory's research activities are structured around four main themes:

  • Food and biomolecule engineering;
  • Study of transfer phenomena in complex systems;
  • Development of innovative separation processes;
  • Processes and Chemometrics.

WANYLAB is a service company with, among other things, a testing and calibration laboratory authorised by the Ministry of Trade and a vocational training establishment approved by the Ministry of Vocational Education. It is a high-performance analytical resource centre in the fields of quality control and assurance and industrial performance.

This initiative at the centre of the leading trade show for the agro-food industry aims to promote learning and skills development in a dynamic and interactive environment.
