Why attend Djazagro if you are a buyer in the agri-food sector?

Djazagro welcomed nearly 25,000 trade visitors this year. Among them, 70% are decision-makers in their companies' purchasing departments. This is particularly true of one buyer we met at the show, who works for a company founded three years ago that specialises in industrial baking, particularly the production of tortilla bread. The company also has a refrigeration complex, producing frozen chips and vegetables.

For this company, half of whose production is sold locally, the main challenge today is to expand its business and increase its production capacity.

And to achieve this goal, Djazagro 2025 came at just the right time, according to this buyer, who is delighted that the exhibition brings together everything his company needs to ensure its development, from equipment suppliers to ingredient suppliers. While online prospecting remains very useful, for this buyer, trade shows are still the main driver of business and the best opportunity to meet suppliers and discover new ones, particularly in the field of raw materials.

A well-organised trade show

The conclusion is rather reassuring: in this digital age, personal contact remains an essential element for the sensible development of business relationships. After having carefully reviewed the list of participants, our buyer was able to prepare his schedule of appointments, though with a visit spread over three days, there is still time to explore the aisles of the trade show and unearth some gems. This is especially true given that the organisers of Djazagro have done everything possible to make life easier for visitors: our buyer of the day, who is no stranger to trade shows, even considers it to be the best-organised professional event in Algeria, and even in Africa! The quality of the signage is particularly appreciated.

Djazagro would like to thank this buyer for his testimonial and looks forward to seeing him again at the 2026 edition, from 12 to 15 April in Algiers!
