With regard to new trends, our buyer was particularly impressed that this year's show focused on packaging, with the return of the DjazPack exhibition, organised in collaboration with ALLFORPACK EMBALLAGE PARIS. He was particularly pleased this year by the quality of locally produced packaging, which now differs from imported packaging only in price.
Priority to local products
Local products: this is a particularly differentiating factor in the Algerian market, where regulations increasingly tend to give priority to domestic production.
The multinational's strategic objective in the Algerian market, where it currently only operates in the ‘hygiene’ sector (home care, beauty, personal care), is therefore to localise as much as possible, whether in terms of packaging or raw materials.
For our buyer, this challenge has already been partially met in terms of packaging, but it proved more difficult to tackle in the ‘raw materials’ sector, particularly for powder detergents, his current priority.
Fortunately, Djazagro 2025 enabled him to make contact with various suppliers in this sector. Clearly, trade shows are still the best opportunity to get a complete overview of what's on offer and do your shopping!
The next appointment for our buyer seeking consolidation in the Algerian market: Djazagro 2026, from 12 to 15 April 2026 at the Algiers' Exhibition Center - Safex.
